The competition has been live for just over a week and the entrants keep pouring in! We even had a small flurry of male entrants, although unfortunately we are only looking for ladies this year! Hopefully we'll be looking for men as well next year for all you wannabe male models out there....
The standard remains high for our entrants and we got a few particularly good entrants over the weekend. One 14 year old was so stylish I couldn't help but twitter about her...is she our Tavi?

ReplyDeleteAs beautiful as Rachelle from category A is, why is she in category A? She is clearly of black heritage and has dyed her hair blonde. I think she needs to be moved to a correct category. How can a black person support the fair skinned redhead/auburn section?
ReplyDeleteI am able to see she has light black skin but think of it this way, if I was tanned for a redhead, that wouldn't mean I'd be entering category F.

ReplyDeleteWhen the contestants create themselves a profile they choose which phenotype group they feel they belong to. I guess Rachelle feels like she belongs to Category A! However, when the judging commences we will be making 'suggestions' to people about which Group they should consider entering. For example, Group A is for Fair to Light Redheads so it would make it very difficult for Rachelle to win that group! It is interesting for us to see, at these early stages, how people see themselves as it helps us improove the information we give in our Clinic.

ReplyDeleteat the same time I feel as though some of the girls I can see are entering themselves into Group A as there is less competition than there is in a group for medium skin brunettes.
I love zuneta as it actually has tailor made stuff for people with light skin and/or red hair which is very rare. As far as most beauty products go, we don't exist!
We try! There are so many exceptions to the rules that I feel its important to do it properly! The site is relaunching at the beginning of November and it will be much easier to use and get better reco's so hope you enjoy it!
